Black Friday 2008

This year will mark the 2nd year that I have bravely gone out at O'dark thirty in search of screaming deals. Last year I went with a girlfirend and her mom and we hit a lot of stores but this year, I only wanted to go to one store......Toys R Us. They were the only store that everything that I needed for the boys (including Don). My girlfriend (from last year's Black Friday) had to go to other stores first and I wanted to be one of the first in front of Toys R Us. So I thought I would be going it alone.....Until I called Sally. Sally hates the cold and hates not getting sleep but because she loves me so much,she came with me. I wanted to be the first one out there! We went to a Toys R Us that I have never been to and I am so glad that we did. We got there at 2AM (they opened at 5AM) and we were the 3rd and 4th persons in line! WHOOT! We tried to play games on my phone, we texted one one another, tried to keep warm, although, to me, it wasn't that cold. But the best part was: We met some people that I don't think I would have ever met under normal situations. And yes, we took pictures.

We met a man that was the "Poorman's Forrest Gump". He seemed to have done everything and been everywhere (including prison in Nevada).

Back to the purpose of standing out in the dark, cold night. The store opened and only would let about 5 people in at a time which was great! We got out of there by 7AM and then we went to Borders, Disney store and then on to breakfast at Denny's! It was a great morning! We had a blast!

I got everything I needed for the boys and some extra for their birthdays!
