First Parent/Teacher Conference
On 11-17-08, Don and I attended our first Parent/Teacher Conference for Jacob. Mr. Roberts, Jacob's Kindergarten teacher is the best! I volunteer in Jacob's class and love how he handles his class (for the most part). Mr Roberts stated that it is "amazing" how well Jacob keeps his attention span on him and his lessons. He can sit in circle time, quiet, and knows that Jacob is listening because he does exactly what he is suppose to be doing. His behavior is "impeccable". I asked him if it was normal that he is obessive with his alphabet and rhyming words, and numbers. He stated that it is normal. His writing samples are readable and he is doing very well with counting. By the end of the school year, a kindergarten child should be able to count to at least 30. Jacob has surpassed that. He gets tired after 200 or so. He socializing well with others and is a well-rounded child.
